One of your experienced guides will meet you at the designated meeting spot (see link for exact location). We will commence the hike up Lion’s Head as soon as everyone is ready. There are quite a few exciting routes up Lion’s Head, far from the hustle and bustle of the main route. Therefore, depending on how adventurous the group feels, we can tailor the route. As mentioned, we always put safety first, so the guide will assess the fitness levels of the group and ensure that everybody gets to the top safely. We will stop for photo opportunities and a rest whenever necessary. Once we summit, we will enjoy the views, have another rest and then head back down the mountain.
We recommend taking a taxi/Uber to the meeting spot. However, if you do have a car, parking during peak times can sometimes be limited. Our meeting point is at the Kramat (a burial place which is further down the road). Please see the link for the exact location.Get Directions
For the hiking experiences, we do not recommend bringing along children under 12. However, if the parent feels that their child is capable of hiking up a mountain, the possibility can be discussed with the guide beforehand.
For food/beach experiences children are welcome, bearing in mind that it will still be the parent’s responsibility to ensure children are safe in the water/beach at all times.
We are mostly in nature, therefore, there are no public toilets available.
Our experiences are weather dependent. The guides will always check the weather reports and if it is too windy/misty/rainy we will have to cancel the experience. Guests will receive a full refund in that case and hopefully we can reschedule. That’s Cape Town for you… four seasons in one day!
We absolutely do! We can accommodate a variety of special requests. Please get in touch with us, and let’s see what we can put together for you.
For the hiking experiences, please ensure you wear appropriate footwear. Please do not wear sandals or shoes without grip. In summer it is essential to wear sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses. In winter, please ensure you layer well and always bring a windbreaker. We can always bring extra gear on loan if necessary, just chat to us beforehand. We provide water, but you are welcome to bring your own small bottle if necessary.
For the beach/food experiences, comfort is key! It’s a relaxing experience where you will be sitting on the beach – feel free to bring swimwear/towels/sandals. As per above, in summer it is essential to wear sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses. In winter, please ensure you layer well and always bring windbreaker. We can always bring extra gear on loan if necessary (including snorkeling gear/wetsuits etc)
